Miracles can happen!  Looks like My Diner will be opening in Southie after all!  We have to admit we have felt the void of the closing of My Diner – legendary breakfast and lunch hot spot on A Street in Southie.  How many hangovers have we suffered without one of their delicious bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches!  According to post on their Facebook page, it’s official and they will be opening at the Distillery at 455 East First Street!

Initially, My Diner hoped to reopen on I Street but was met with some neighborhood opposition.

Remember this guy?

Then My Diner opened in Melrose and we thought it was over for Southie.  Well, a little birdie told CIS that the wildly popular diner hopes to open on East First Street (near H).  A neighborhood abutters meeting was held a week back and guess what?  No opposition from neighbors!

My Diner hopes to be opened by the end of the summer!  Woohoo!

Ella and her husband are a very nice hard working couple. My wife and I visited them at their Melrose location. We are excited to have them back in Southie. There was a real void in Southie since my dinner closed.
WELCOME BACK MY DINNER WE REALLY MISSED YOU

Cant wait until they come back. Missed their food so much. They planned to come back to their original location on the 1st floor. Guess that fell through. “I” St fell through. Geez, seems like they have been put through the ringer just to get back here. They are a very hard working family. Cant wait.
