Eat:
Having a backyard cookout for Memorial Day weekend?  Foodie’s can help you with when it comes to the meat you’re grilling – they are the local experts. Drink:
Rosé all day! This weekend’s forecast looks like perfect day drinking weather! We say stock up on the rosé at Social Wines– they are rosé experts and will help you select the perfect bottle for you cookout, trip to the beach, or binge watching TV on your couch alone – we don’t judge! FYI On Memorial Day liquor stores are closed so stock up before!  If you need another excuse to drink some wine, Friday is National Wine Day!

Explore:
Warmer temps and sunny skies make it the perfect time to explore the South Boston Waterfront aka the Seaport District! Honor:
On Sunday, May 27th, members of the Thomas J. Fitzgerald Post #561 (Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, respectfully invite the residents of South Boston to join them for their annual Memorial Day Services.  VFW members and friends of the post will assemble at the post at 9am and march at 9:30am to Medal of Honor Park (M Street) for the laying of the wreath at the South Boston Vietnam Memorial. Brunch will follow back at the post.

Run:
The Boston Police Department and Boston Police Runner’s Club invite you to the 14th running of Run To Remember Boston on Sunday, May 27th at 7am. Run To Remember Boston is a half marathon or 5 mile run through historic downtown Boston. Number pick up and Sports and Fitness expo is Saturday May 26th. The race start and the Expo will be held at the Seaport World Trade Center.

See:
Kick it old school and enjoy award-winning crooner Rich DiMare and The Ron Poster Trio to the Supper Club stage on Sunday evenings for the ultimate dinner and a show experience. The Supper Club at Capo now features Sinatra Sundays to their weekly music lineup with dinner on one of the 10 stage-front tables during the show, or head to the Supper Club after dinner in the dining room for cocktails or dessert from Pastry Chef Kate Holowchik while enjoying the live music. The Supper Club Doors open at 5pm every Sunday, with Sinatra Sundays live music from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Dinner reservations for the stage-side tables are available on Opentable, or by calling 617-993-8080.

Do:
The Castle Island Association (CIA) has been giving free guided tours of Fort Independence on Castle Island for over thirty years. Memorial Day Weekend is officially when the CIA springs into action, giving tours every Saturday, Sunday, and on national holidays through the summer from noon till 3:30pm.

Ride:
It’s Free Ferry Day on Saturday, May 26th! Hop aboard the ferry at Long Wharf North, take in the sights of the sea, then explore historic Fort Warren on Georges Island or walk Spectacle island’s sandy beaches and winding trails. There’s lots to do and see! Free tickets for the Boston Harbor Cruises ferry will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis at the Ferry Center on Long Wharf-North.

Bowl:
Kings Dining & Entertainment is getting in Memorial Day Weekend fun offering food and drink specials all weekend long. Also, did you know that troops bowl for free all year long? With a few rainy days forecasted for this weekend, make a plan to bowl!

Play:
Lawn on D will be celebrating Memorial Day all weekend long! Enjoy lawn games, food, drinks and live music! You can check out the schedule here!

Register:
Lace up your sneakers and take part in this family-friendly fitness event which includes a certified 5K race and walk, youth races and Reebok-led classes on the scenic South Boston Waterfront. Post race enjoy live entertainment with Dalton & the Sheriffs, an expo, beer garden, food, and fun for the whole family! This fun filled day of fitness takes place on Sunday, June 17th at 9am. Enjoy free admission on Monday, May 28th all day at the Museum of Fine Arts!
