Just add art!  Fourth Presbyterian Church (340 Dorchester Street) is taking registrations for its fall session classes for the art and music program Soul Possibilities.  Not only will this program include productions of the Aladdin and Urinetown, it will also feature music, art, science classes, magic classes, film making and more! Canines & Cocktails!  Join Boston TV news icon Randy Price and is dog Annie at the Canines & Cocktails event on Tuesday, September 15th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Seaport Hotel.  Special organic doggie treats will be one hand for man’s best friend and a chance to mix and mingle with fellow dog lovers.   The Animal Rescue League of Boston will be on-hand with fun facts and information for anyone thinking about adopting a shelter pet in need of a home!  All money raised will benefit the Animal Rescue League of Boston. Festival of fun. The forecast for Saturday looks perfect to browse and shop amidst 100 local merchants, artists, and organizations along East Broadway from L to I streets.  There will be food, children’s activities and live entertainment including local favorite Thomas Park and the Wood’s School of Irish Dance.  September 19th 11pm-5pm. If you forget my death, I died in vain.  To honor the South Boston Vietnam Memorial 34th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, a special Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall will come to Medal of Honor Park at M Street from September 17th-September 20th.  An opening ceremony will take place on September 17th at 4pm.  You can view the wall on Friday and Saturday from 8am to 10pm.  On Sunday, September 20th a rededication ceremony for the South Boston Vietnam Memorial will take place.  Fore more information visit: https://caughtinsouthie.com/feature/vietnam-memorial-tribute

Thanks to Mother Nature, last weeks walk/bike/tour the Dot. Ave Corridor was rescheduled for Monday, September 14th.  The BRA (Boston Redevelopment Authority) wants your input about The Dorchester Avenue corridor from Andrew Square to Broadway Station.  What is currently a traditional industrial area will be transformed into residential and mix-use.  The BRA would like to know the types of uses and the scale the development best suited for the future of this area.  On Monday, September 14th take a walking tour or a bicycle tour of the area and be a part of the process.  Both walking and bike tours will leave the parking lot at 195 Old Colony Ave at 5:30pm.
