Coat Drive! Jill Magner – a local professional organizer – will be running a coat drive to benefit Family Aid Boston & Friends of Boston’s Homeless, both great organizations that help homeless men, woman and children throughout the city.  As you begin to pull out your cold weather gear over the next few weeks and find any unwanted coats of any size (youth or adult), please contact Jill via email at [email protected].   You can leave all donations on your doorstep and she will pick them up, just let her know a time that works for you.  Clean out your closets and donate your unwanted coats to a special Coat Drive in Southie for Family Aid Boston.  Help out your neighbors in need, donate a coat, be it parka, topcoat, peacoat, puffer, or jacket.

Wear a costume – get a free meal!  Kids in costumes eat free the week of Halloween at Salvatore’s (225 Northern Ave.) in the Seaport District.  Stop by October 27th – November 1st and enjoy!  Kids, no dining alone!  You must be accompanied by an adult making a qualified purchase – or the deal is off!

Trick or Treating on Broadway! Trick or treat!  Smell my feet!  Beware of little ghosts and goblins (and their parents) roaming the streets in search for Halloween candy.  East and West Broadway will be filled with trick or treaters on Friday, October 31st from 4pm-6pm picking up candy from local businesses and residences.  So be warned!  This event is free and is hosted by the members of the South Boston Chamber of Commerce.
