Here’s to healthy food! Celebrate National Food Day and the end of an amazing season at the South Boston Farmers Market!  The South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation (SBNDC), sponsor of the South Boston Farmers Market, are holding a special celebration on Monday, October 26th.  The market will run as usual from 12 – 6 pm, with regular vendors Freitas Farm, Wenger’s Farm, and Red’s Best Seafood. Throughout the day, customers will be able to decorate pumpkins to take home, play a food trivia game, and contribute to a fresh food drive that will benefit a local food pantry. The New England Aquarium will be in attendance with their Traveling Tide Pool from 12 pm – 3 pm, and there will live music from KC Harris from the Berklee School of Music, from 3 pm – 5 pm, and a performance from the Boys and Girls Club band from 5:15 pm – 6 pm!

Get crafty with Bringing Up Baby (663 East Broadway) on Thursday, October 29th from 11:30 to 6:30pm.   Stop by and created a haunted craft.  Costumes are encouraged.  Perfect for preschoolers! 

Trick or Treating on Broadway! Trick or treat!  Smell my feet!  Beware of little ghosts and goblins (and their parents) roaming the streets in search for Halloween candy.  East and West Broadway will be filled with trick or treaters on Friday, October 30th from 4pm-6pm picking up candy from local businesses and residences.  So be warned!  This event is free and is hosted by the members of the South Boston Chamber of Commerce.

Sweat for success!  Lifted Fitness is hosting a special workout event for Dress for Success Boston.  On Saturday, October 31st at 9:15am enjoy an hour long action packed workout.  Post workout head to Lincoln for some socializing and pizza! Wear your costume!  Tickets are $30 and 100% of proceeds goes to Dress for Success! 

Namaste!  Radiant Yoga is hosting a special live music and restorative yoga class to benefit the Ellie Fund on Thursday, October 29th.  Come unwind and melt your tired muscles through a series of specialized easy to follow instruction in vinyasa, yin yoga and restorative yoga poses. This class is geared to touch your heart, open your chest and unwind the tension in your neck and back. Beginners are very welcome, class is all levels.
