Think Pink! Some South Boston businesses are joining forces in the fight against breast cancer.  On Thursday, October 23rd from 6pm-8:30pm sip, shop and dine your way around South Boston for an evening pink treats, pink cocktails and special discounts at participating businesses.   A portion of the sales will be donated directly to the Ellie Fund – a local non-profit dedicated to providing critical services including childcare, grocery shopping and meal deliveries to patients with breast cancer and their families.   Spend a little money for an amazing cause!  For a full list of participants visit: https://caughtinsouthie.com/shop/think-pink-shopping-night-southie-ellie-fund

Celebrate! Happy Birthday Neatly Nested!  To celebrate one successful year of business in South Boston, Neatly Nested (373 is throwing a party!  Stop by on Thursday, October 23rd from 6pm-9pm and enjoy cocktails, music, and hors d’oeuvres!  Neatly Nested will also be launching a new line – pure joy papery prints!  

Take a magical journey! A local favorite, The Children’s Magical Halloween Castle, takes place this weekend on Saturday, October 25th and Sunday, October 26th 12pm-4pm each day.  The Castle Island Association transforms Fort Independence at Castle Island into a family friendly Halloween showcase.  Enjoy magic tricks, storytelling, popcorn and treats.  Don’t forget to wear your costume.  This event is free and open to the public.

Mix and mingle! Put on a costume and help support St. Peter Academy!  You just might win a cool 5 Grand!  On Saturday, October 25th at 7pm The St. Peter Academy Spooktacular Reverse Raffle takes place at the legendary Lithuanian Club on West Broadway.  Tickets are $100 to participate in the raffle for $5000. ($20 to attend the party but not participate in the raffle.) There will be appetizers, desserts, a DJ and a cash bar.  Who knows?  You just might be the lucky winner!

Kids Pick! Hit the mats and help raise some money.  Ultimate Self Defense & Performance Center (12 B Street) is hosting a special movie night fundraiser featuring Hotel Transylvania!  On Saturday, October 25th at 5pm-7:30pm enjoy a movie night!  Cost is $10 per child.  $20 per family.  It’s a drop off event so take advantage and plan yourself a little date night!   Popcorn and water will be provided.  Kids can bring nut-free healthy snacks of their choosing.  Limited space so please sign up in advance by sending email to [email protected]. Include your name, # and number of children to attend!

Halloween Yappy Hour with Mutts and the City!  The Urban Art Bar has gone to the dogs!  Mutts in the City – one of Southie’s best dog walking services – along with The Urban Art Bar will be celebrating man’s best friend with a special “yappy hour” for you and your pooch – Halloween edition.  Stop by The Urban Art Bar (709 East Broadway) on Monday, October 20th from 5pm-8pm and mix and mingle, enjoy a a free beer tasting with Cape Anne Brewery and make sure your dog is wearing their Halloween costume!
