Sip and shop.  Neatly Nested (373 West Broadway) is hosting a summer shopping night on Wednesday, June 25th from 5pm-8pm featuring Bash Studio and Miam Miam Macaronerie.  Enjoy 15% of everything in the in the store, summer cocktails, macrons, and special door prizes. 

Open hearts, open homes.  One of the most unique South Boston events is the summertime fundraiser for the Gavin Foundation.  It begins with a swanky reception at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel ballroom at 5:30pm on Wednesday, June 25th.  At 7:30pm, guests head to various locations throughout South Boston – dining rooms, rooftops, backyards, for intimate dinner parties.  It’s a great way to get to know your neighbors, meet some new friends and help support one Southie’s most important organizations, The Gavin Foundation.  This year’s honorees include Mayor Marty Walsh and John Ashe.  Tickets are $100 and can be purchased online at www.gavinfoundation.org

Dogs and drinks! Canines and cocktails is back for the summer at the Tamo Terrace at the Seaport Hotel.  Bring Fido on Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 7:30 through August for a home-made dog treat and treat yourself to a refreshing cocktail or two! Great way to meet some new friends and man’s best friends!

Calling all budding ballerinas!  Internationally acclaimed children’s designer Cana Gokhan and co-owner of the prestigious children’s fashion company Lady & Lord, will be at Bringing Up Baby on Thursday, June 26th from 4pm-8pm to custom design tutus for your little ones!   Lady & Lord creates adorable tutus and dresses hand sewn and made from high quality silks and tulles. They are simply magical.  Lady & Lord has been featured in Harper’s Bazaar and InStyle magazine and Bring up Baby is their only location in the U.S. where you can purchase the collection.  If you would like to reserve a spot for the debut, you can email [email protected].

Pipes and drums! St. Patrick’s Day may have come and gone but you can keep in the spirit at the Fifth Annual South Boston Pub Crawl to support the Great Boston Fire Pipes and Drums.  The route is as follows: meet at L Street Tavern, march up to Tom English’s Cottage,then weave your way back down to Touchie’s Shamrock Pub.  After that, you are on your own.  This event takes place on Saturday, June 28th at 6:30pm The band will be selling t-shirts as well as cash raffles and a 50/50 drawing.  So join in the fun and help support an outstanding pipes and drums band!
