Art ahoy! Cruiseport Boston is celebrating the start of the 2015 cruise season with a fun a creative event for kids!  On Saturday, May 2nd from 10am-1pm, budding Picassos can create their original artwork to be displayed and seen by more than 300,000 cruise passengers at the terminal.  This event is facilitated by South Boston’s Young at Arts program.  Canvases, paint and all supplies will be provided.  Space is limited, so reserve your spot by Monday, April 27th by emailing [email protected].  

Be informed.  Get involved. Thanks to positive resident feedback, the temporary one-ways in South Boston were extended thru June 1st, 2015.  Initially, the one-way transportation reconfiguration was implemented in February due to a brutal winter with an end date of April 1st.  On Tuesday, April 28th at 6:30pm at the Condon School (200 D Street) a community meeting to to determine if making the reconfiguration permanent is the appropriate decision for the neighborhood.   A second neighborhood meeting will be held in May.  

Mark your calendars!  South Boston Youth Soccer Registration for the 2015 fall season will take place on the Curley Recreation Center from May 4th – May 9th.  Monday-Friday 6pm-8pm and 9am to 12noon on Saturday.  $30 per child ages 3 to 18.  New players need a copy of their birth certificate.  For more information call 617-269-7930 or visit www.southbostonyouthsoccer.com

Sign of spring!     Was the meeting location changed? I thought it was at the Tynon School East 4th?

    The meeting is at the condon tonight and they Tynan School on May 6th.
