Finally spring is here and it’s time to slough off that dead winter skin to reveal shiny-new, bare and beautiful skin. Follow these steps and keep the skin in a simple regimen and you’ll be ready to bare arms!

CLEANSE:

2 Step Cleanse  – yes two steps. Take off your makeup, then cleanse your skin underneath. A simple refreshing makeup wipe like these from Garnier  – which I have in my bag at all times – are perfect for removing makeup, even waterproof mascara without leaving an oily residue behind. Follow up with a gentle face cleanser like Fresh’s Soy Face Wash.

EXFOLIATE

FACE: The Clarisonic is the kinder, gentler way to exfoliate your skin. Use a few times a week with a creamy or gel cleanser, like Soy Face wash, to get back that natural skin glow. Your skin will thank you for it.

BODY: Used towards the end of your shower, this gentle body exfoliant from Dermologica sloughs off dead skin with one of my favorite ingredients –  papaya enzyme. Naturally hydrating, you’ll be left with super smooth, soft skin.

MOISTURIZE

FACE: Even if you feel slightly oily a few minutes after you wash your face, it’s important to replenish the skin after cleansing both morning and night. Clients are always asking me for products for eyes, face, daytime, nighttime – I prefer to keep it simple with a serum.

For daytime, this oxygen infusing serum from Phytomer not only soothes & hydrates it also brightens tired skin.

For nighttime, this oldy but goody is simply the best. Advanced Night Repair is chock full of ingredients that heal and replenish the skin. The lightweight texture that disappears into the skin is an added bonus.

BODY: Be short-shorts ready with moisture and self tanner in one from St Tropez. This product is amazing at evening out skin tone with controlled color one day at a time.

PROTECT

FACE: If you prefer to have a moisture with skincare in one, choose a natural, chemical free sunscreen like this one from Josie Moran, SPF 47, works great under makeup, and the antioxidant blend of Argan Oil, with jojoba make this a multitaskers perfect choice.

Don’t forget lips! I recently used this balm from Supergoop! on vacation, and it was the first time ever in my life that my lips were not dry. Infused with the amazing antioxidant ACAI, a little shea butter, this balm give the lips a hint of healthy color, and a huge dose of hydration.

BODY: Using last summer’s leftover sunscreen after it’s baked how many times in your overheated bag? Not a good idea. Pick up a lightweight travel size to keep in your bag for that spur of the moment outdoor lunch. Personally, I’m always on the hunt for new and improved sunscreen, I recently picked up this one from Coppertone and was impressed! The sheer formula is great for everyday use, and the lightweight spray is great for exposed areas when you find yourself suddenly in the sun.
