Born in Brooklyn, this brand new line of bibs, burp cloths, swaddles, reversible blankets, and soft blocks will change the way you think about typical boy-girl color schemes.  Welcome to the bold and colorful world of rouxroo. The focus here is high-voltage (and refreshingly unisex) red, green and yellow.  With bold color contrast and prints that are clean, modern and playful–these designs are made to stimulate a baby’s brain.  The contemporary shapes and colors also speak to parents that love modern art and like to have fun.

With inspiration drawn from far-flung and unexpected places like mid-century furniture, Bauhaus textiles, inventive playscapes like the Adventure Playgtround in Berkeley, CA, to artists like Piet Mondrian, Yayoi Kusama, Milton Glaser, Keith Haring—rouxroo takes shape, typography, and pure primary color and creates designs that have a timeless feel to them.

rouxroo has launched with a few essentials that make great baby shower gifts and perfect for every day use. All products are made from eco-friendly, certified organic, toxin-free materials. The Square Swaddle Collection is made of soft, breathable swaddles crafted from organic cotton muslin and is very versatile—think stroller or nursing covers, blankets, or sarongs. Colorful bibs make mealtime fun, and come in two types: soft and coated. The soft has four layers of plush cotton, which makes it built to last—and both the soft and coated bibs have a clever crumb pocket built to catch wayward nibbles. Coated bibs are made from eco-coated cotton canvas and wipe easily for simple clean up.
And for playtime, there’s the Tangram Soft Blocks, made from repurposed fabric left over from the other products. These plush geometric shapes are stuffed with bells, rattles, squeakers and crinkly paper for sensory stimulation.

Bringing Up Baby is the exclusive Boston baby store carrying rouxroo—along with the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum in NYC and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Go have some fun with rouxroo!
