Mark you calendar for Thursday, September 24th for an evening at Wears + Wares to support Engage, a veteran owned, veteran inspired and veteran run clothing company in Boston, co-founded by Nate Heilman, a Marine Corps veteran.  Having served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, Nate became devoted to utilizing his platform to promote issues and solutions in the veteran community.

Nate’s designs are unique, and his vision – global. Engage contributes directly to One Million Goal Inc., a foundation created by a retired Marine Captain to raise money and awareness to help those in need. Nate, affected by what he witnessed first hand during deployment, decided a portion of every sale by Engage would be donated to build wells in developing countries. “Water is the most basic resource that some people simply don’t have access to,”  says Nate. “We’re creating an opportunity to give that to them.”

With nearly 750 million people lacking access to clean drinking water, and over 5,000 children dying daily from water related causes, supporting Engage is something clientele can feel good about.

They can also feel good about supporting the arts, since many of Engage’s designs are hand drawn by Nate himself. Engage makes high quality original designs aimed towards adult professionals in all walks of life, yet take a closer look and you’ll discover subtle tributes to the U.S. Military.

Nate is proud of his American made line, and Wears + Wares is proud to host Nate for Artist Night this Thursday, September 24th from 6-8. As a reward for everyone’s support there will be delectable bites by Stephie’s In Southie, as well as wine tasting by PSP Imports! Please spread the word for this worthy cause!

See you there!
