Who doesn’t love a little mid-week pick-me-up? Give the crew something to look forward to and hit up these local hotspots for a game of trivia, delish bar snacks, and beverages, of course. But, first, here are a few “unwritten” trivia rules:

No phones. Like ever.

There’s nothing worse than putting your blood, sweat, and beers into a heated game of trivia only to look over at the neighboring high-top with their iPhones all aglow. Make it an even playing field, and save your googling of “Justin Bieber’s Manager’s Name” to your workday research.

The Team Name = Major Key

Keep things interesting with a totally out-there title—bonus points for an inappropriate twist on an even more inappropriate saying. When the MC cringes and the bar erupts in laughter, that’s when you know you’ve made it.

Keep it Light

Sure, there’s a $50 gift card on the table, which means if you’re lucky half of the night’s bill will be taken care of. But, be friendly with your opponents. Laugh at their jokes. Ask questions. Hey, even congratulate the winners if you’ve had a few and you’re feeling neighborly. Unless of course they cheated on their phones—that’s a whole other ball game.
