Strengthen and restore. There are two amazing fitness events this week! East Side Yoga is hosting its wildly popular Restorative Yoga Workshop with Jessi. On Saturday, October 14th from 1-3pm Tune in, slow down and take the time for yourself to relax, unwind and de-stress. Cost is $40. BTone Fitness is hosting a “Lend a Hand” class on Sunday, October 15th at 1pm in Southie. All proceeds from class will go to hurricane relief.

Art adventure in Fort Point! Pick up a map and explore the studios and warehouses that are home to painters, sculptors, ceramicists, jewelers, performance artists, printmakers, book artists, photographers, and more.. Meet and chat with artists in their studios and discover new works and treasured favorites.  See Fort Point’s art galleries and find public art installations throughout the neighborhood including a giant pyramid floating on the Channel.  In addition to the more than 150 artists studios and galleries which will be open, Fort Point Open Studios features a series of special events, including artists’s demos, performance, public art, hands-on activities for all ages and more!  The fun begins Friday, October 13th – Sunday, October 15th.  For more information visit here!

Support! You have two ways to help support the Joseph “Dodo” Nee Foundation. On Friday, October 13th the first annual golf tournament will take place at the William J. Devine Golf Course at Franklin Park. $150 per person/$600 per team. The price includes greens fee, carts, a jacket and lunch at Florian Hall. Later that night at 7pm, head to Florian Hall for an evening of dancing featuring legendary Southie DJ Dru Errico, prizes, raffles. Tickets are $20. Funds raised will be given back to the families and nonprofit organizations within the Greater Boston Area to keep Dodo’s memory alive by doing what he loved so much, giving back.
