Out with the old! Is your Christmas tree looking a little sad? Well, maybe it’s time to say goodbye!  Boston residents can place their Christmas trees curbside for composting between January 2nd and January 13th. Please remove ornaments, decorations, and stands from Christmas trees. Do not put trees in plastic bags. Place trees at the curb by 7:00 am on recycling collection day. Christmas trees will be recycled during these two weeks only. For more information please visit the City’s website.

Warm Hands Warm Hearts.  This is the perfect time of year to help those less fortunate.  Clean out that closet and help those in need.  Mass Bay Credit Union is hosting its annual Coat and Warm Clothing drive in partnership with Friends of Boston’s Homeless Warm Hands Warm Heart campaign.  Kindly donate new or gently used winter coats, hats, scarves, gloves and socks.  Donations boxes are located in all of Mass Bay’s branches including the one in South Boston.  The charitable drive is in its seventh year and has become a vital Mass Bay Credit Union tradition that members and staff look forward to participating in every year.  Donations will be accepted until January 31st.  Mass Bay Credit Union is located at 147 West Fourth Street.
