Support the Troops!  Stop by Roza Lyons on Tuesday, February 13th at 7pm, watch the Bruins game and help fill boxes to send to the troops!  Bring items like cigars, packaged snacks and other goodies to keep the troops going strong!  (No baked goods or perishables)

I’m on a boat! Dreaming of warmer weather? Go see The New England Boat show at the Boston Convention Center. Spend the day looking at boats, yachts, schooners, and nautical displays galore. If your wealthy enough to purchase one, good for you! If your like the rest of us, you can spend the day dreaming of the one you’ll buy when you hit the Power Ball. Feel the love at The Broadway!  There are two ways to celebrate Valentines Day!  Their special Love Bird Menu features starters like oysters and lobster pizza, mains like lamb chops, filet mignon, wood grilled + stuffed lobster, and desserts like vanilla cheesecake, Frangelico chocolate mousse cake, and spiced carrot cake! Specialty cocktail is the Rose All Day made with Hangar One Rose Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower, lemon, house simple syrup and bubbles rose ale float!  Don’t have a date? Save the Date!  Much to our surprise, Laugh Boston invited us back to do another live episode of Caught Up: A Podcast From South Boston!  Make a plan to come see us on Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm at Laugh!  Tickets are FREE cause duh!  This live show will have a St. Patrick’s Day twist!  Think of us as the kickoff event of St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Southie! Junk food and ashes.  It’s Fat Tuesday, a hedonistic day to gorge yourself with food and drink before the kick-off of lent on Ash Wednesday so get it in! Bonus:
The Boston City Council is hosting a hearing on Tuesday at City Hall to discuss regulating Airbnb.  Mayor Marty Walsh  has proposed an ordinance to track and regulate the rentals of bedrooms, apartments or entire houses for days or weeks. The public has a chance to weigh in on a plan to regulate short-term rentals advertised on Airbnb and other websites in Boston.

Let’s go to the movies!  We have a new luxury theater in the Seaport District!  The ShowPlace ICON is now open at One Seaport (also home to Tuscan Kitchen and Kings). The new luxury theater spans 44,000 square feet, boasts 10 auditoriums and seats 855 guests in total.  Auditoriums range from the 131-seat ICON-X premium large format room to a 63-seat auditorium, which gives moviegoers the feeling of being in their own private screening room. You can also order beer and wine while you watch your movie!
