It’s baaaaack!  It’s that time of year again! Birds are chirping.  It’s staying light out later and the big yellow street sweeper will be cleaning your neighborhood streets on April 1st.  So be warned, parking restrictions associated with street cleaning begins this week.  A street sweeping schedule and information is available here!  Southie residents can also register for “No Tow,” a service provided by the city for residents to be reminded by email when their street is scheduled for cleaning. That’s so helpful! This also applies to DCR and Day Blvd., Columbia Road and Old Colony Ave.  So take notice, Southie!  Watch the signs!

Sip and shop!  Dew Luxe will be hosting an India Hicks Trunk Show on Thursday, April 6th from 6pm-8pm.  Stop by and enjoy some complimentary champagne while you do a little spring shopping!

Girls on the Run!  On Tuesday, April 4th, members of the Girls on the Run of Greater Boston Marathon team, including Southie resident and Coppersmith employee, Stephani Dazzo, will host a “Countdown to Boston” Marathon Fundraiser.   With less than 2 weeks to the Marathon on Monday, April 17th, the team will be celebrating with supporters with food, drink and great raffle prizes. Tickets are $20 and raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event. Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Girls on the Run program, which offers girls in grades 3-8 with an after school running program. The fun begins at 6pm.

Run Rob, Run!  Rob Fitzaharris – of Roza Lyons fame – is running the Boston Marathon for the McCourt Foundation.  The McCourt Foundation helps raise funds for research focusing on Alzheimer’s.  Rob lost his grandfather to this disease.  To donate visit here!
