It’s Columbus Day!  Banks, libraries, schools, and the post office will be closed today.  The T is running on a Saturday schedule.  Liquor stores are open.  Phew!

Get your dancing shoes on!  City Councillor at Large candidate Michael Flaherty will be hosting an 80’s and 90’s Dance Party on Friday, October 14th at 8pm at the Teacher’s Union Hall.  Suggested donation $20.  Start brushing up on your Cabbage Patch and Running Man. 

Are you an art lover? On Saturday, October 15 and Sunday October 16th the Fort Point Open Studios will take place from 11am to 6pm.  Visitors can explore more than 10 buildings and the studios of 150 artists featuring painters, sculptors, ceramicists, book artists, photographers, jewelers, fashion designers and more.  There will be art activities for the kids too.  For more information go to:www.fortpointarts.org

On your mark, get set, go!
