Saturday Night's Alright

For a Fight

Peter Welch is bringing boxing back to Boston.  On Saturday, January 28th, at Peter Welch's Gym, the ring takes center stage as fighters go head to head for physical non-stop excitement.  There will be a minimum of ten fights featuring New England's top boxing prospects including fighters like Southie resident and local hottie Max Adams and Peter Welch's Gym's instructor Tom Egan (http://www.caughtinsouthie.com/blog/tom-egan).

Legendary funny man Steve Sweeney will be your master of ceremonies.  The Boston Fire Department's Pipes and Drum Corps will be there to entertain.  And really what's more entertaining then men in kilts banging on drums and blowing into instruments? Joe DeNucci (former state auditor and pro boxer) and 1955 World Welterweight Champion Tony DeMarco along with other former world champs and world contenders are rumored to be in attendance -  so who knows who you might bump into.  Former Olympian Peter McClure will be there too.

This event is free and open to the public.

Doors open at 6:30pm and fights start at 7pm sharp.
