It’s that time of year!
Love ’em or hate ’em, ugly sweater season is upon us. Be it bedazzled, emblazoned with Santas, or stitched with reindeer, it’s time to pull out “the sweater” and put it to good use. Here are some places in Southie that our celebrating the season with ugly Christmas sweaters:
Lincoln (425 West Broadway) – Lincoln is hosting a special Ugly Christmas Sweater Party to help The Accelerated Cure for Project for Multiple Sclerosis on Thursday, December 5th from 7pm-10pm. Bees Knees (12 Farnsworth Street) – On Saturday, December 14th from 8pm-10pm wear that ugly sweater for a great cause – Bee’s Knees Ugly Sweater Party, Benefitting the Paraclete Academy!
A donation is requested at the door of the event, which will go to the Paraclete Academy, an after school enrichment program for disadvantaged, urban youth. The academy focuses on critical learning from 4th to 6th grade, providing accelerated reading programs, programs in math and science, and many other project based activities! Paraclete’s students represent a diverse ethnic, racial, and economic group. The academy promotes an education of excellence that cultivates both mind and spirit, because they believe education is the foundation not only for individual success, for also for a peaceful and just society.
