Pop bottles! With Autumn on its way and a whole new season of you to celebrate, what better way to indulge than a decadent evening of delectable bubbles and extraordinary food pairings? This Tuesday, September 15th at 6:30pm, head to Menton, the celebrated Provencal restaurant in Fort Point, for an exquisite five-course meal accompanied by artisanal champagne pairings.

Champagne & Butter is a beautiful evening of exploration and collaboration between James Beard Award-winning Executive Wine Director Cat Silirie, Chef de Cuisine Scott Jones, and Diane St. Clair, the farmer and artisan behind Animal Farm butter. Hailing from a small licensed farmstead and creamery in Orwell, Vermont , St. Clair hand-churns butter from grass-fed Jersey cows, to produce the highest quality, most delicious butter on the market. To complement the delicate, rich notes of the Animal Farm Butter, Chef de Cuisine, Scott Jones, will be serving such exquisite courses as butter soup paired with large format Champagne and Rohan duck with beetroot, buttermilk, and escargot. To bring out the subtle flavors in each course, Executive Wine Director, Cat Silirie, will be serving artisanal champagne, or as industry veterans like to say, “farmer fizz.” According to Silirie “What could be better than to compliment the delicate flavor of butter from a single cow, made on a tiny farm in Vermont than small-grower champagne, a wine also made by farmers?”

Founded by South Boston’s own Barbara Lynch, a prestigious James Beard Award-winning chef, Menton offers the perfect backdrop for an evening unparalleled in elegance and refined luxury. Known for its exceptionally beautiful dishes, elevated only by its luxurious ambience, unbeatable wine program, and impeccable service, Menton has earned its accolades with the likes of The Boston Globe, with a sparkling 4-star review, and the title of Best New Restaurant of 2010 by Bon Appetit and Esquire magazines, to name a few. A modern interpretation of fine dining, indeed!

We don’t know about you, but such an exceptional night cannot be missed! We’ll be arriving at Menton at 6:30pm sharp for aperitif bubbles and canapes. Tickets are $225 per person. Check out the full menu here and call 617-737-0099 to make reservations. Bon appetit!
