Coppersmith: Southie Game Changer

South Boston has recently welcomed Coppersmith (40 West Third Street) to the neighborhood and we think it has the potential to be a real game changer!  We’ve seen an explosion of bars and restaurants in South Boston over the past few years, so it takes something special to standout, and Coppersmith stands out, both architecturally and culinary-wise.

When you walk into Coppersmith you’re immediately in awe of the space itself.  Reclaimed steel, restored brick, exotic woods, multiple skylights, exposed timbers, and glass garage doors combine to create an air of openness, warmth, and brightness you can’t find anyplace else in the city.  After you catch your breath from just how beautiful the space is you’ll probably notice the food trucks.  In addition to regular brunch and dinner menus Coppersmith has two food trucks with rotating menus.

Speaking of food trucks (I’ve used that segue way more than any normal human being should), is there any place else you can enjoy food truck fare while you cheer on the Patriots?  Coppersmith has recently launched Tailgate Sundays, with dueling food trucks, DirectTV’s Sunday Ticket, and this weekend they’re giving away Patriots tickets!  On top of all that there’s the extensive beer list, making Coppersmith one the best, and most unique, places to spend your Sunday.

With plans to open a cafe in early 2016, and their seasonal patio and roof deck we think we’ll be doing a lot of Caught In Southie events at Coppersmith in the future, roof deck yoga anyone?  Coppersmith has only been open for a couple months, but we’re already loving their vibe and their creative approach to dining and drinks.

Maybe we’ll see you Sunday for some nachos and fried brussels sprouts!
