With State Rep. Nick Collins winning the primary for the State Senate First Suffolk District this past Tuesday, he seems to be a shoe-in for winner of the final election in May. So you know what that means, folks? We’ve got an election for his soon to be opened state representative seat – fourth suffolk district.  This district serves South Boston and sections of Dorchester.

David Biele, a former aide to Collins formally announced last week that he is running.  This week, three more residents from Southie have announced that they too have pulled nomination papers to run.

This list includes, Dan Manning, director of operations at the Inspectional Services Department for the City of Boston,  William W. Higgins, Jr., and Matt Rusteika.

We shall see who turns in their nomination papers and ends up on the ballot for State Rep.

The final election for State Senate will be held on May 1st.
