From BPD news:

At about 5:30 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2017, officers assigned to the District C-6 (South Boston) Neighborhood Drug Control Unit was conducting an ongoing drug investigation in the area of 270 O’Callaghan Way when they made a stop a pickup truck and its operator. As a result of the stop, officers seized the following:

1) Approximately 4 pounds of marijuana

2) 223 vials of liquid THC

3) 162 vials containing 4 edible THC gummies

4) $2640 US currency

5) Various prescription medications packaged for distribution, including Adderall, Alprozolam, and Diazapam

6) 216 packaged and pre-rolled THC cigars

7) 34 tins containing THC chocolate bars

8) Numerous chocolate chip cookies/Rice Crispy bars containing THC packaged for distribution

9) Scales, packaging materials, and various smoking paraphernalia

Officers arrested Daniel Lincoln, 38, of Revere and charged him with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Class C, and Class D Drugs.

Said Commissioner Evans, “Even with changes to the laws, we are still seeing these drugs being sold illegally on the streets. THC and marijuana pose a risk to buyers who don’t know exactly what they’re getting, and firearms and weapons are often involved. Due to the public safety risks that come with the illicit sale of THC and marijuana, my officers will continue to work to take these drugs off the streets in efforts to keep Boston safe.”

Ah, Southie. I remember the good old days when it was a Mecca of hate and racism. Was the forbidden city to “those other people”. Has it changed? I have since moved out of state..

Buddy if you think it’s the people in public housing by edibles, liquid THC etc. you should probably take a step out of the 1920’s.

Someone doesn’t know where 270 O’Callaghan Way is apparently. Pretty easy to obtain public housing when your traceable income is $0.

I’m well aware of where it is. I’m also well aware of the kind of people who buy what he was caught with.

If this didn’t include the pills it would be a non-story. Basically a bunch of weed.

Even the pills aren’t story worthy…congrats on the weed bust BPD. Meanwhile there’s nightly gunfire coming out of the Broadway public housing complex.

Bunch of weed and a few pills? Must have pulled this guy over on his way home from church.

Come on guys, bigger fish to fry in Southie.

Then again….it’s pretty hard to walk away from a traffic stop with this amount of goods. It sounds like this was going into one of the projects, so less income for those peddling deadbeats, I hope they can’t make rent and will have to earn some legitimate income.

Legitimate income earned out of one of these housing projects? Did I hear that right? Keep dreaming, brother.

Oh wow so only project people buy and sell drugs? Really what planet do you live on cause I know fact addicts are ALL over southie!! Including city point so maybe let’s not include all project people in bullshit not all poor people are assholes but I see a some on here thinking their better. Ahh to be ignorant…

He’s got a pretty darn good point. While there is drug use all over, I’d be willing to bet a VAST majority of it takes place in the projects. By drug use I mean coke, heroine etc etc.

Lots of different people buy & sell drugs, this incident happened to be within a public housing complex, there have been other reports on this very site of drug busts in homes in city point, so you are correct. With that being said, I do believe a higher proportion of crime occurs in these public housing complexes.
