The Broadway station end of town just seems to get swankier by the minute. The once sketchy part of Southie now boasts trendy restaurants, yoga and cycling studios, and even a Starbucks. (Don’t even bring up Broadway Village episode!) On the horizon is a new luxury boutique hotel and this week developer Ryan Sillery submitted a plan to the BRA for what is to become of The Cornerstone.
The Cornerstone Pub that is currently a single-story bar/restaurant at 14 West Broadway will transformed into an 11-story building with 47 residential units and space for a restaurant on the ground level. In addition there will be a gym with a lap pool, a movie screening room and green rooftop terrace with a dog park. Oh yeah…there will also be 70 parking spots – thank God!

Fantastic! I love all the cultural places that are coming into town, but one thing people tend to neglect is parking! 70 parking spots is going to be a godsend!
