Yikes! A gun was found at the Condon Elementary School after gunfire broke out near the school on Friday, June 9th.  According to The Boston Globe, Boston Public Schools sent out a robocall to parents on Friday evening informing them of the incident.

“At about 6:40 p.m., a shooting occurred in the vicinity of our school, at the same time as programming was being held at the BCYF Community Center in our building,’’ the BPS informed parents. “When staff searched our school as a precaution, a firearm was found inside of our building.”

The Boston Centers for Youth and Families located in the Condon was open at the time of the shooting.  Boston police will have a larger presence this week at the school.
