What a jerk!  Imagine picking up a shitload (pun intended) of dog poop from your property and then throwing it all over the sidewalk.  We realize that the people who are letting their dogs poop in the lot and not picking it up are jerks too, but this guy is the jerkiest!   He’s in the running for Southie Jerk of the Week Award!

Whose dog shit is it? Is it only from his/her dogs, or is from the neighborhood dogs just walking by and using his yard as a toilet? If the owner is not a dog owner, I don’t blame them from throwing the shit back onto the sidewalk. Maybe next time CIS can do a little more invertigation before jumping to conclusions.

We did call out the dog owners for not picking up the poop but the guy who threw it all over the sidewalk is a jerk. There is nothing to investigate. It’s a 311 complaint.

It’s the crappy selfish dog owners who let their dogs poop in his yard that are to blame. I think he has got his point across. i have dog walkers leaving their bags of shit on my property – as if that’s ok- it’s not. It is a step up though from the ones who just let their dogs crap in my flower garden. Don’t get me started on the ones who think it’s ok for them to be off leash.

I agree it was a crappy thing to do… But I admit I get aggravated at all the dog owners who let their pets pee and poop in our condo’s front garden. We landscape it and still they pee and poop in it. Here’s a suggestion though — why aren’t there more city garbage cans on each block? That’s what NYC does to solve the problem.

The problem with this article is that it blames the victim. It’s not his responsibility to pick up after other people’s dogs. Sure, he could pick up the poop and be a nice guy, but then people will keep using his yard as a toilet. I can’t say I blame him for what he did.

If people don’t want poop all over their neighborhood, the solution is simple. Pick up after yourdog. Unfortunately, our dog-owning neighbors don’t want poop-free sidewalks. If they did, we wouldn’t even be talking about this.
