Thank you South Boston Tribune!

We read with heavy heart,  the last edition of the South Boston Tribune today.  The ‘Triby” was a local institution and we will miss the insightful columns by John Ciccone and Brian Mahoney, Southie Speak-Out, and the local youth sports scores and Southie news and information.

It’s an end of an era and we are sad to see it go!

Thank you South Boston Tribune – for all you’ve done for our great community of South Boston!

I share your chagrin at the Tribune‘s departure from the scene.  Growing up, it was a weekly standard at our house, and for many years it offered information about events and issues affecting the community.  News and media are so different now…

One more change, one more sign of the times, one more institution of the community gone…

My family and I will miss it. Even my teenaged children would never miss an issue. From the talk on the streets, many others feel the same. It was the heart and soul of South Boston, refreshingly accurate and fearless in it’s reporting and opinion.
