If you’ve driven, walked or biked on A Street lately, you may have notice a beautiful new park smack in the middle! Not only does this new park have green space and a very cool play structure, it also offers eight community garden plots.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have your own little plot of land to plant your tomatoes or grow some herbs? Well, a lottery is being held and maybe a plot can be yours! The lottery will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 10am. Meet on Medallion Ave (yes, a new street) in front of the Channel Center Garage and find out who the winners are!
Garden plots are for 3 year terms to allow more people to participate in the garden over time.
If you are designated a plot, you must be prepared to plant your garden starting the week of July 14th.
