Don’t miss Puppeteer Nicola McEldowney as she present two classic tales of storyteller Hans Christian Andersen – retold with some twists, some turns, and plenty of silliness! In “The Swineherd,” a goofy prince must go undercover as a lowly swineherd to win the affections of a hoity-toity princess. Meanwhile, in “The Princess and the Pea,” the search is on at the palace for a Real Princess. But is there any such person in all the land? Come see the puppet show and find out!

Let your kids run wild!  Want a cheap and easy day with the kids?  Head to one of the many parks in Southie and pack an old-fashioned picnic lunch.  Call some friends and make a day of it!  For 5 and under, M Street Park is perfect.  For older more rambunctious kids, the park at Castle Island is a good choice.  Another park that not many know about, is the park located at the corner of Albany and Malden Street right over the West Fourth Street Bridge.   It’s modern and fun and mostly always empty!  Check it out!
