Movie Night! Mayor Marty Walsh and the City of Boston is hosting a family movie night on Monday, August 18th at 8pm.  The featured film of the night is one of my personal favorites - Rudy.  Popcorn will be provided by AMC Lowes Movie Theatre.

Bombshells for Breast Cancer! The South Boston Neighborhood House is having a Night Out at Lincoln and we want you to join us! We’ll be at Lincoln, located at 425 W. Broadway, from 6-8p.m. on August 21st to raise money for our Rodman Ride for Kids bike team. Dance the Dream!  Medicine Wheel is celebrating the 51st Anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s I Have a Dream Speech with a dancing celebration.  Dance from Southie to Dorchester and celebrate our communities at a special event at the Strand Theater on Thursday, August 28th at 6pm.  Don't forget your dancing shoes!

Saturday, September 13th

Browse and shop amidst 100 local merchants, artists, and organizations along East Broadway from L to I streets.  There will also be live entertainment on two stages including Southie's favorite band Thomas Park and The Peggy Woods School of Irish Dance.  The festival kicks off at 11am and Mix 104.1's Kennedy will be your emcee for the day.  For more information go to
