Sip on hundreds of wines from all corners of the globe paired with interactive booths, crash courses, and tips and tricks for conquering the wine world. If wine isn’t your thing, Thirst Boston, THE Boston Cocktail Festival, is featuring some local talent during their weekend-long celebration.  From Friday, April 28th to Sunday, April 30th, you can “learn all day and celebrate all night” all while enjoying the city’s tastiest libations.  The schedule is jam-packed with impressive parties, workshops, and tasting celebrations featured at some of Boston’s best restaurants and bars. Here’s who will be featured from our neck of the woods:

On Saturday from 12pm-1:30, Capo & Lincoln Bar Director Kevin Mabry is leading a seminar on “Low Proof Libations:”

Low-proof cocktails are all the rage these days, as bars exchange bang-for-your-buck, high-proof cocktails for cordial- and fortified wine-based drinks that we can sip on all night long. But have no fear: low-proof doesn’t mean watered-down. In fact, many of these drinks rely heavily on liqueurs offering incomparable intensity of flavor. Low-proof cocktails are just the latest iteration in a storied history of cocktail movements embracing cordials to add depth and balance to everything from fruity tiki potations to bitter boozy beverages and beyond.

And GrandTen Distilling will be at the Saturday night extravaganza, State Lines:

An entire floor of the Innovation & Design Building will transform into the ultimate state fair for grownups. State Lines will feature local craft distillers, brewers and makers as well as cocktail made by some of the best bartenders from the far reaches of New England. Play carnival games, peruse the wares, and visit the State Pavilions: where bartenders will bring their states to life with creative cocktails and unique decor.

Come get your drink on!
