Aw yeah! It’s National Cheeseburger Day on September 18th! Whether you like it with the works or just a little ketchup, today is your perfect excuse to eat one!  We are sharing our picks for the best cheeseburgers around town!

Sully’s at Castle Island – legendary for over 60 years.  People wait in lines for one of these burgers and for just $2.75 you might as well get two.

Local 149 is a local favorite when it comes to burgers. Order up their local burger American cheese, grilled onions, heirloom tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, Local special sauce. $14.

The Seapoint is known for the legendary steak tips, but they make a mean burger!  Hand-packed beef topped with cheese and served with fries.  Simply delicious!

Lincoln offers the appropriately named Lincoln Burger made with wood grilled prime blend, bacon aioli, Cabot sharp cheddar, caramelized French onions. $12

The Broadway has two burgers for you to enjoy!  The classic BW burger with ettuce + tomato, grilled onion, house sauce and the Spicy Smokey Burger with fried bacon, pepper jack, shishito peppers and harissa aioli!

Shake Shack the addition of this burger chain has made CIS writer Heather Foley a happy girl.  Serving up burgers and shakes in the Seaport District, order up a single or double cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato, ShackSauce!

How hungry are you? Backyard Betty’s will give you a burger single or double!  Made with cheddar, bacon, pickles, LTO

Our Caught in Dot picks:
dBar offers an 8 oz. juicy burger where you can pick your cheese –  cheddar, bleu or swiss for $13. Add bacon for $2.  Served with hand-cut rosemary fries!

224 Boston serves up their burger with braised bacon, smoked cheddar cheese, caramelized onion aioli, fries 16. Enjoy it on their patio!

    Hi Maureen
    True to myself, i’m 2 days late for National cheeseburger day. I wish i could try EVERY burger you mentioned, lol. But, i thought I should just add, you won’t get a better burger than the one you make at home …………with Phil and Paul’s hamburger. My kids call them K and 8th burgers! I left Southie almost 19 years ago now and can honestly say, there’s no better out there! Enjoy!
