Whether you are a practicing Catholic or just love fish – Seapoint’s famous fish is back for Lent. Fresh haddock and scallops will be on the menu on Fridays throughout March. Enjoy your seafood fried, baked or parmesan style over pasta. Each meal is served with salad, bread, and your choice of potato. See you there. .

Drink:
Just one more reason to celebrate the weekend! Coppersmith has a new DIY Bloody Mary Bar and to say it’s amazing is an understatement. With dozens of options to spice up your classic cocktail, the bar features selections of in house pickled vegetables, spices, sauces and garnishes. Everything from pickled green beans to Korean BBQ sauce is available in an impressive display. You can even add bacon or shrimp too! The DIY Bloody Mary Bar is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm! We’ll raise our glass to that!

It’s that time of year again! The snow has melted and street cleaning is a few weeks away. What’s left is dirty, filthy streets in Southie. So we thought – let’s make a game of it! Jab, hook, uppercut!  It’s the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Kids Boxing Show.  More than 20 bouts will be featured  at Peter Welch’s Gym.  The event takes place on Saturday, March 11th at 6pm.  Who know we may discover the next Marvin Hagler.

Thirst is hosting a comedy night on Thursday, March 9th at 8pm. Featuring comedian Dan Chrohn from Last Comic Standing,this event is a guaranteed good time! This event is FREE and open to the public!

Skate:
How’s your triple Salchow these days? The Miss Ice O’Rama competition takes place on Sunday, March 12th as part of the South Boston Citizen’s Ice-O-Rama Day. Also included in this fun filled event of old fashioned ice competition are a puck shooting, speed skating, and of course the legendary Miss Ice O’Rama competition. Competition is for 14 and under. Fun starts at 10:00am.

Friend of Caught in Southie and Southie resident Tom Tomasian is running the Boston Marathon for the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation! Come show your support at his fundraiser on Thursday, March 9th at Capo – Supper Club Lounge from 6pm-8pm. There will be cash raffles and the NBA Championship trophy will be on display! Stick around for Conscious Reggae who will be playing at 8pm.
