Eat:
Committee – 50 Norther Ave. – has opened its doors for lunch and dinner and promises to be summer hot spot on the ever-growing Southie waterfront!  George Aboujaoude (Cafeteria and Bijou Nightclub) and Demetri Tsolakis have created a 230 seat restaurant with Mediterranean-inspired menu featuring small plates both hot and cold.  
Also on the menu are various Greek wines, hand-crafted cocktails and tiki drinks available by the pitcher.  You can enjoy those delicious beverages on their spacious patio!  In addition to the patio there is also seating at the bar, communal high tops, a lounge area and private dining rooms.  Committee also has tall banquettes make from reclaimed wood from Anthony’s Pier Four!  Sweet!  

Drink:
After a day at the beach, the fun continues at Stephi’s in Southie – 130 Dorchester Ave! Apres Beach kicks off June 13th on Saturdays and Sundays from 5pm-8pm through August!  Enjoy half-priced bar menu apps featuring everything from wings to steak and cheese rolls, to pulled pork sliders to nachos!  Stephi’s will also be serving up tiki cocktails, beers by the bucket, and sangria and summer cocktail pitchers!  There will also be a DJ spinning you favorite summer tunes in addition to prizes and giveaways!  So really, how can you not go!  

Shop:
The much anticipated Wears & Wares has opened its doors on East Broadway.  Stop by and shop at this chic boutique filled with women and mens clothing and accessories, home goods,  and gift ideas like candles, cards, and more.  Stop by and say hello!  Pick out something nice for yourself – you deserve it! 

Play:
Get out there and have some fun!  Free Fun Fridays kicks off this Friday! The Highland Street Foundation would like to pick up the tab on admission to Boston area attractions.  Isn’t that nice?  Enjoy free admission to places like the Isabella Stewart Garner Museum, The Children’s Museum, ICA, the Franklin Park Zoo and many more.  This special promotion takes place each Friday from June 26th through August 28th. Friday, June 26th enjoy free admission to Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum, The Mount: Edith Wharton’s Home, Worcester Art Museum, MIT Museum, Peabody Essex Museum, and The House of the Seven Gables.

In celebration of the upcoming 75th birthday of Ringo Starr, The Lawn on D is featuring Yellow Submarine for their Friday Night Flicks series! And, to get you in the Beatles mood, Admiral Grove & The Big Blue Meanie will perform beforehand. Celebrate:
Kick off the summer! Help support a local institution, the Harry McDonough Sailing Center at Castle Island.  On Friday, June 26th from 6pm-9pm, join State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry, State Rep Nick Collins, State Rep Dan Hunt, City Councilor Bill Linehan, City Councilor Michael Flaherty, City Councilor Frank Baker, along with the board of directors of the sailing center, for a summertime cocktail reception at the sailing center located at Pleasure Bay.  Enjoy food, drinks and live entertainment seaside. Suggestion donations: Crew Members $100, Captain’s Club $150 (Couple), Commodore $250 and Admiral $500.

Yoga:
Join East Side Yoga an Fitness on Sunday, June 28th for a yoga and wellness benefit to raise money for Nepal.  In collaboration with celebrity yogi, MC Yogi, all proceeds from this event will go towards SEVA.org.   The goal of  this event is to promote health and wellbeing while spending love and support to our brothers and sisters in Nepal during this difficult time. From 3-4pm local health and wellness vendors will set up pop-ups including the Juice Box,Nurture Salon and Spa, Regan’s Motivated Fitness as well as raffles for Mutts and the City and massage from Rachel Munyard.  We will also be selling Pura Vida bracelets that 100% of proceeds will go towards the cause.  At 4pm an hour long Vinyasa yoga class will begin taught by Coe Scasino-Ramos, Leslie Doyle and Jessi Dellert followed by a guided meditation.   Suggested donations for the class is $20, cash only.  For more information or to reserve your spot visit: https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/classic/home?studioid=181378

Mix and mingle with your friends and neighbors and help support Billie Jo Rogers-Ryan on Friday, June 26th at 7pm at Florian Hall – 55 Hallet Street.  Billie Jo – a South Boston mother – was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer.  Her friends and family have organized a special friendship fundraiser for her.  There will be raffles, dancing, a cash bar and more.  Tickets are $25.
