Run:
On your mark, get set, go! Lace up your running sneakers and register for the Jim Kane Sugar Bowl 5K.  This road race is a local favorite for not only its flat course along the water but for the party after the race too. The L Street Running Club, who organizes this race, announced a new team category this year, as well as a vendor expo, awards and raffles, baggage check, free parking and a big BBQ post race. See:
Be prepared to be dazzled.  Mast sand sculptors Marielle Heessels from the Netherlands and Leonardo Ugilini from Italy will be creating a 15-ton Sand Castle on Carson Beach. as part of Save the Harbor/Save the Bay’s Better Beaches Program before competing in the Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival.  Stop by and check it out this weekend!  We promise it will be inspiring! 

Dance & Play:
Southie’s hottest summer spot – the Lawn on D will not disappoint this weekend.  On Friday, get ready to dance, dance, dance with a live DJ playing electro pop and techno beats.  On Saturday, your encourage to bring out your inner child and just play.  The Lawn on D play experts have collected some innovative play sculptures, games and interactive activities to help you let loose!  Wind down your weekend on Sunday at 5pm with a little Conscious Reggae.
