About Patriots Homes:
South Boston NDC began construction in March of 2015 on Patriot Homes, a $10 million redevelopment of the former D6 police station at the corner of D and Athens Street. The 24-unit development will provide veterans and their families with affordable studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. The police station will be renovated and will house the South Boston NDC property management office and 12 apartments, including handicapped accessible units. New construction on Athens Street will consist of 12 affordable units.  Each apartment will feature Energy Star appliances and both buildings are 100% smoke-free. The site is within a ten-minute walk to the Broadway stop on the Red Line and steps away from the #9 bus line.
