Eat:
It’s National Oyster Day!  Why not start off the weekend right with a dozen or so!  Tavern Road on Congress Street offers $1 oyster Monday-Friday from 5pm-7pm for just a buck!  They also have $2 Miller High Life ponies and $3 charcuterie!  Sweet!  Want to continue celebrating National Polyester Day – here are some more suggestion for $1 oysters nearby! 

Drink:
It’s National Root Beer Float Day on Friday so why not bring out the inner kid in you and order one!  MJ O’Connor’s Waterfront has a delicious one complete with sweet vanilla ice-cream!  Enjoy one on their patio – it’s delightful!  (You can always make it an “adult” root beer float by adding a little bourbon.  We won’t judge!)

Shop:
Looking for an excuse to visit Fete Collections on D Street this weekend?  How about 30%-50% all summer apparel?  You’re closet will thank you!

Ride:
Need a little motivation to workout this weekend?  How about tacos from Loco? The Handle Bar is hosting their wildly popular Tap Backs To Tacos on Saturday at 10:40am or 11:45am!  Take a high energy 45 minute spin class and enjoy a free cocktail at brunch at Loco Taqueria and Oyster Bar!  Sweet!

Listen:
When you’re walking the Island this weekend, make a plan to stop and listen to the music!  This summer WUMB 91.9 FM and Berklee College of Music present the fourth annual free Summer Concert Series, featuring artists from UMass Boston and Berklee. For four Saturdays in August, live performances will take place from 2-4 p.m. at beautiful Castle Island! These concerts are free and the perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. Bring a blanket, a picnic basket, and your love of music!  This Saturday Amber Blue Acoustic will be performing!

Experience:
PorchFEST is taking over the Lawn on D on Saturday!  From 3pm-9pm enjoy a day filled with music, fun and community showcased right on 3 front porches built right on the lawn. There will also be activities, like a make your own tutu station, ask a teenager and more!
