Sowa Sundays Open Market

Take a trip across the West Fourth Street Bridge and venture into the Sowa Sundays Open Market.  There are so many interesting artists and vendors peddling their wares including handcrafted jewelry, paintings, clothing, hats, and handbags.  Gorgeous and unique pieces that you can’t find just anywhere and that you had no idea that you absolutely needed.  It takes place every Sunday at 460 Harrison Avenue.  On a recent trip, I stopped by my friend Melody’s booth – Tangerine Boutique – a vintage clothing and accessories boutique that has a bevy of beautiful and different pieces that you can’t live without!  I fell in love with a gorgeous vintage Ferragamo handbag in rich chestnut brown leather.  It has a removable strap that crosses the body, which is great when walking about.  But when removing the strap, the bag lends itself to a lovely ladylike bag that Jackie Kennedy might have carried.  It’s my new favorite thing!

Visit Melody when you go to SOWA Sundays – and tell her Caught in Southie sent you!

Also, at Sowa Sundays, there are local bakeries, florist and farmers – so you can pick up a cupcake, some daisies and fresh tomatoes.
