Old Southie Corner Stores
We mentioned 'old corner stores' on Face Book, the comments and discussions were overwhelming. Everyone in Southie has a fabulous memory or two of ‘their corner store’.
The stories are hysterical:
- Best pickles in a barrel
- Mom and dad sent me there for cigarettes when I was 8
- The only store that had Fortune Gum,
- The best – going there with notes from mom and being so young not knowing what that was you had to purchase!
